- Conducting ADAS calibrations would entail significant restructuring and loss of space within a typical collision repair shop. ADAS calibration processes requires specialized equipment, software, and a controlled environment to ensure precise and accurate calibration. - Calibrations performed on-site by a mobile vendor may not meet manufacturer requirements. This is primarily because mobile vendors may lack the specialized equipment and software necessary to perform OE-level calibrations. Mobile vendors may not have access to the advanced diagnostic tools, specialized cameras, and sensors needed for accurate calibration. What goes into a PACE facility?
- Our centers average around 4,000 square feet and provide the work bay dimensions necessary for proper target distance placement for each calibration service (these required bay dimensions are very different than a typical body shop metal or mechanical bay’s size and shape). Each bay is equipped with a perfectly flat, epoxy coated, certified flooring that exceeds OEM requirements for calibration as well as advanced, controllable lighting. We use a specific non-reflective white color scheme throughout, so nothing interferes with lidar/radar targets. This type of controlled environment is essential to perform successful, precise calibrations, free from obstruction and interference.
